I need cosmetic, reconstructive dental work done on my teeth but I live in the US (New York) and it is horribly out of this world expensive, plus I don't think the dentists are that good as I've been to a few supposedly good ones and didn't have great experiences.
So I am thinking of taking 2-3 weeks off work to travel to another country for vacation/dental work. Where is the best place to go? What is the process? Do I contact some sort of agency in the US or do I just go to the specified country on my own and do my own planning, etc from scratch?
What is the best way?

Any input very much appreciated!

I heard Budapest does very good work and is reasonably affordable. dentaltourism.org allows you to have a free consultation. It is not going to be as good as the U.S. or as safe. Maybe you can go to a state that does not have a high cost of living. Maybe Florida or Texas. You would have legal rights and you would be protected under the standards of the ADA. When you go to these countries, if they screw up you don't have the same protection or the same standards. Be careful and if you do go to another country I would be really interested in how everything went. Good Luck:)

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

The price of knee joint replacement surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
