Does any one know, that in the state of SC, will they suspend your licenes if you quit school. My husbands ex-wife has just signed out his 16 year old daughter out of school. Will they take her drivers licenes?

Fred C: I DID do a little research before I asked this question, but couldn't find anything. But thanks for your "anwser" anyway.

Actually, No one else is right! I live in South Carolina myself and have had a similar problem. If you are under 18, and drop out, they WILL take your license. When applying for a license you must show proof of school attendance. If she is 16 right now, they will take it and she will be unable to get another one until she is 18. If they don't catch that she has quit school, when she goes to renew it, she will not be able to get a new license until 18. There is actually a new law coming out now, that they will raise it to 21.

Actually, I have heard of such a thing here in NC. Some teacher I had in high school was trying to convince this guy not to drop out and that was on of his desperate pleas. Eventually however, there is NO WAY that you couldn't get a license eventually (i.e. 18 years old)

Many states will pull your ticket (provisional license) if you drop out of school and are under 17 or 18.

They might. We have no idea what licence the girl has, or for how long. People should research before they answer questions.

Thats against the law as far as I know. I mean, people have to drive , their are 16 year olds who have to work and sometimes have to drop out of school to work. That would be a very dumb law.

No. There is no such law. Driving is not connected to school one way or the other.

Someone is feeding you lines.
No, d.l. has nothing to do with going to school. There is no such law.
