A middle age woman should:
1. Own her situation as the product of her own choices and not blame others.
2. Exercise, the more the better. It increases your optimism so that you better deal with your current situation and give creative thought to improving upon it.
3. Be useful/helpful to others whether it is family, strangers or something in between. It will help get you out of the cramped cage your mind has become.
4. If you have children make sure their needs are well met including their need for independence.
5. Set aside time every day to read or to write.
Edith Wharton was a middle aged woman writer. Her work is wonderful. Maybe you would find a biography of a woman writer such as Ms. Wharton or others inspiring.

Hi, I'm in HR but I can't give you an HR answer. All I can say is this, I'm a big believer in the idea that no one has to be miserable. I've had miserable jobs with evil bosses and horrible people for no pay, too. I think we all feel trapped by financial obligations, of course. But I really think it's OK if you just tell yourself you don't have to be there anymore. You can go do something else and the world won't fall apart. You can take some more classes in writing at night, or study to become a teacher. Actually tutoring is really lucrative work, how about tutoring high school kids English or creative writing? You could even find an admin job perhaps in another field, what if you could be an admin to a journalist or a pr company or something more fun. There are always ALWAYS options. It takes guts, but there's a world outside that office, feel free to get out there and leave that place behind!

If you excelled in writing and as an admin, why is it that you can't spell "minion", "character", or "excelled?" And no one majors "on" a subject, they major "in" it - so perhaps those skills aren't as sharp as you think. Satan's minion may have done the world a favor by eradicating your drafts.
If you hate your job, the answer is simple - find another one. Lack of higher education doesn't preclude you from seeking a job in a new company or a new field. The book, "What Color Is Your Parachute" is a classic for job hunters and career changers, and one you may wish to consult.
While you're at it, nothing is preventing you from returning to school, either. Many classes are offered online, in the evening, or even on weekends.
Now quit blaming your job, your coworkers, or your ex for your unhappiness and take charge of your life. The only thing worse than a middle-aged woman who feels she has wasted her best years is an old woman who knows she has.

I too am middle aged and decided to take my destiny into my own hands. I started a home business which quickly surpassed my income and gave me the freedom to do things I enjoy.
It took a while, but I found that every job I had was either dead-end or I knew more than management did about the job. That's when I woke up and decided that working for other people just wasn't for me, and if they could do it, why couldn't I?
Well, I could! I am having more fun now than I ever did, get to travel, which is my passion, and no more commuting. I also found out that I was very good at it! No one was more surprised than me! I welcome all the challenges it presents because ultimately I am building my own net worth instead of somebody else's.
Life is good!

nicely certainly, in case you havn't had lots sexual journey as a woman on your 20's, then your 30's and 40's would be extremely a sexually liberating time for a woman. I ensue to prefer and enjoy my sexuality as an older woman. no longer in basic terms am I greater comfortable approximately it, i'm greater matured and experimental. i'm married of course, yet we are very open interior the mattress room with one yet another. I % out my very very own sexuality as magnetic. If i'm chuffed interior the mattress room, that shows on the exterior. You glow a sprint greater, you have greater self assurance, you experience you could gown a sprint sexier.. I certainly have many married acquaintances who fizzle while it is composed of their very very own intercourse lives and that they are in awe that my husband and that i are so very energetic..they many times ask your self, why i glance youthful and why i glance so chuffed. i think of others theory on center age sexuality varies. There are some those that would have that "best for you" style of physique of concepts in direction of it and a few people who might think of it incredibly is gross and uncalled for. I say, it is your existence, your physique and your sexuality. some women persons tutor their sexuality in the process the clothing that they positioned on, and now and returned they could be a sprint too provacative, and certainly, i might extremely see a youthful physique in provacative clothing than a center elderly person. yet to each and each their very very own. You permit me stay my existence, i will permit you reside yours!

I know its hard to change your profession, I myself am in a job that I totally hate, I dread the thought of coming in everyday... Everyday I pray that my boss doesn't open her mouth, if she doesn't then my day is okay, the work sucks, I have about 15 hours of actual work a week.. I have to learn to be bored all the time...
Office work can translate into alot of stuff, maybe look for an office manager positon or something.

It's not too late to recapture your writing skills. Contact your local community college to find out if there are continuing education courses in writing. Take an evening class, rebuild your writing samples. It takes time but you still have the skills and they will come back!
You can always freelance write if you have a topic you are passionate about.
Good luck!
