but we are afraid to be together because of our family. My family keeps me from getting excited about any thing and his well they like me and always have since ive known them. i have a kid by some one that was just a fling but i dont htink that is what is stopping me from wanting to marry him

My favorite line is that it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. Your family will forgive you and accept your decision. As you grow older you'll find that things like this will seem like a huge deal (probably like it felt when you got pregnant and were afraid of what people would think) but once the baby is born, or in this case, you are together and/or married, people will adapt and you'll laugh later that you ever even worried. Take it from someone with experience, if you're lucky, maybe you'll get 70 years on this earth. They go by in the blink of an eye are too precious to waste wondering what other people are going to think of you. Go for it and give it your all and show them that you are right!

It sounds like you are putting yourself down by having a kid and maybe your family is contributing to that. We are all human and we make mistakes. But you a have a child most people that can't have any children would be thankful. So be greatful for what you have. And as important as family is if they are keeping you from being happy then it's time you made your own decisions unless they are trying to keep you from harm. Then you must try to understand but we sldom do until it's all said and done. Maybe you are insecure and feel this guy is to good for you. What is the reason I don't know.
