I have a 1 year old who has GERD, normally he nurses ever 1-2 hours. Recently I stopped one of his afternoon nursing sessions and he started to spit up again. So I have gone back to nursing him when he wants rather than distracting him.

I just found out I am pregnant though and I am wondering if any moms have been through this. When your milk changed to colostrum did the GERD get worse? I really don't want to medicate my son.

Yes you'll take Prilosec OTC. That is what my Dr placed me on whilst I used to be pregnant bc tums and zantac weren't touching my heartburn. Maalox is nontoxic too. They even have Prevacid however you'll desire a prescription for that.
