Scientific Anglers fly line. It has 3M innovation. You get top notch components, and the best price too. I've been using the same line for 7 years and no problems. Their floating line is unreal.

There are so many lines out there it can get confusing. The important thing is to match the line to your rod rating. If you're looking for distance then maybe you want to think about a shooting head or a weight forward line. Some expensive lines are not neccessary the best, I've had some shocking one's. I only carry two spools nowadays, one loaded with a slow sink intermediate the other with a medium sink intermediate. This allows me to fish all depths of the water from surface to bottom, depending on the speed of retreive. I regularly catch fish and rarely blank. Make sure that you stretch your new line before use. Hope this helps.

witch fly line is best...hm mm good question, You didn't say what you are fishing for, where you are fishing, the weather conditions, your style of fly fishing, your technique....all of these are important to select the right line. expensive is not always best, select a line that is rated for what you are trying to do. Also check and see what the reel manufacture suggests for backing and line types. other than that with out more info i can't point you in any kind of a direction. sorry

Last magazine test I read, it was "CORTLAND 444" that won it I think.
