my ex has cheated on me . with his ex gf . that hurt more than ever. but i think it would not have hurt as much if she was a stranger . is this true ? does it hurt if your boyfriend or girlfriend cheated with their ex ?

I think it hurts whether it is a ex or stranget but their is more jealousy there when someone runs back to an old flame.

It hurts worse if the person is someone that YOU knew... if it's his ex, it means there are still feelings there, so yes it would hurt like hell as well... but if he had sex with a stranger, are you sure it wouldn't hurt that he didn't think of his, or your, safety?
STDs aren't just something your parents made up to scare you away from sex, babes.
It doesn't matter who he cheated on you with, it always hurts.

Yes it is true, if I was dealing with a man that was cheating on me, I would rather it be someone I don't know! It hurts so much more when it is an ex, a associate or whomever for that matter, but he shouldn't have cheated at all, no matter who it was with!!

That all depends. I mean - you know that they've been together before, so it's not like it's something new and painful that you have to visualize.
On the other hand, for you to feel as though you've 'replaced' that person, and then when he goes back to her, you are left with the feeling that you were USED, while he was figuring out his feelings. He decided that he wanted her back, instead of moving forward with you. That's a VERY hurtful feeling.
