A short-lived chemical imbalance in the brain. Enjoy it while it lasts. Oh, wait, if you're asking this question, you're probably not enjoying it. Endure it, then.

It's a fun, transitory feeling. A high.

There will be many people contradicting me on this one. They haven't been in love as many times as I have, probably. They are mostly in the middle of the experience, so they can't be counted upon to be objective, or they're waiting for it to happen again, so they can get back to "that special place", like a six-year-old waiting in line for the merry-go-round, with his little ticket in his hand as he squeals and jumps up and down in eager expectation.

Love is great. Love sucks. Whatever, it's all just chemicals and electrical signals and perception. Make of it what you will.

The only real love out there is Cinderella and the prince. Love only exists in the fairy tales.

But a family's bond between each other like mother to daughter, father to son etc that bond they call love.

In 7the grade we had to write Love is like...and complet the sentence...I wrote that love is like a rose soft and beutiful but also like the stem sharp and painful. That is the best way to describe love. And also the soft beutiful petals die and fall away and when all your left with is the stem is it still love?

Love is when you never have to question a persons motives or intentions. Love is when you are never emotionally drained or left feeling lonely when ur with that person. Love is hanging in there to the bitter end when u arent sure...Love is not blind, love doesnt fail you, love is not deceitful, it doesnt harm you, it doesnt make you insecure or jealous. Love is precious, like a newborn baby...you feed it to make it grow into something even healthier and even more powerful, love is all emcompassing and love is unconditional and love is strong and love is beautiful.

It is what you perceive it to be. And in most cases it is over-rated, over-used and misunderstood! Its like what is the dark matter in outer space? No one really has an answer but we all think we know. If it were to smack you up-side the melon you'd still not know how to understand it. Its give and take!!!!
Its an over stated emotional dysfunction to which we'll kill, still, and beg for. Its another very overly used word like F**k, S**t, B*T*H and all those super intelligent words. It's negative and positive simultaneously and can create insanity in you. Its a misconceived theory of bliss and is often misconstrued as utopia. It is often mistaken as a way to gage someones sexual capacities and knowledge of sex. As well as how someones sexual performance rates! Its the oppisite of evol......
What do you think it is??

straight out of the Websters:

1) a deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person.
2) a strong usually passionate affection of one person for another, based in part on sexual attraction.
3) to delight and take pleasure in.

Straight out of the bible:

love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it doesn't boast, its not proud. its not rude, it is not selfish, it's not easily angered. it keeps no record of wrongs. love doesn't delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. it never fails!
~1 corinthians 14:23

alot of the times tho, love is so much more than this! if u love someone, u will do anything for them! u could spend the rest of ur life with them and be fine about it! no matter what they did, u would still love them! and as humans i don't think any of us really get it! we throw around the word too much, and sex ISN'T love! love goes way beyond the physical!

LOVE: You were in love the day you came into this world, when you looked into your mother's eyes. You were taught to love because you were told about God. Do you love the person you see in the mirror? YOU KNOW LOVE!

Love is an emotion that causes you to form an alliance with someone, usually to support children. Physiologically, it's an addiction to chemicals released in your brain when it experiences your partner (sight, memory, touch, etc).

At least that's the kind of love related to dating and relationships.

Love has so many different things!
Love in my eyes is being with the one who makes you laugh when you cry, Make you happy when your sad, and tells me I look beautiful in my jogging pants, and being with someone that I can talk to!
