A change in hair color typically occurs naturally as people age, usually turning their hair from its natural color to grey, then to white. More than 40 percent of Americans have some grey hair by their fortieth birthday, but grey hairs can appear as early as the teens and twenties for some, or even in childhood. The determination of when someone begins greying, whether it comes with aging or prematurely, seems to be almost entirely based on genetics.
You needs to stop trippin over a gray hair at "17" Im 16 and have like at least 5 and i ain't trippin . Gurl we gettin old embrass it and look at it as a growing up experience and you becaming more mature. It will be alright********************

This could mean that you are really stressed out. It could also be genetic. If the problem gets out of hand you can easily dye your hair! By the way don't let it get to you. I'm sure that it seems like a big problem now, but there are many solutions! Don't worry! (It is very possible that you won't get anymore grey hairs until you are very old.) I had the same problem. When I was about 20 I found my first grey hair. I freaked out but I haven't gotten one since!!

No the sun probably just dyed a brown hair a different color. I really do not think that it would be because you were stressed out. I think that it is probably the sun though. Unless you are somewhere that it is not sunny then I really don't know. It could be a faded blond hair. I highly doubt that it is a Grey though. Good luck with that!

its probably a pigmentless hair that looks grey. I get one every once in a while. I wouldnt worry about just one if you get more freak out. some causes for you:
Intrinsic factors:
Genetic defects
Hormones
Body distribution
Age
Extrinsic factors:
Climate
Pollutants
Toxins
Chemical exposure

Most likely it's genetics so if your parents )one or both) went gray prematurely, chances are you will too. I found my first one when I was 23- way too early I think, but my mom was getting gray hair early too. You can always color your hair though. And try to resist pulling it out- more will grow out at the same spot.

Have you done any family history with this, may just turn gray at an early age. See a doctor, if nothing is wrong, just dye your hair, it all good. Don't pull out for every one pulled two will grow.

you're not getting old, it could be stress, I dunno.... maybe it's just chemicals you use on your hair... or going to sleep with your hair still really wet or tieing it back when it's wet.... i don't know, but don't stress over it. you can always dye it or color it... but if you're really concerned, ask a professional at the salon u usually go to... or your doctor even.
