Risks are the same as most piercings; infection, migration and rejection.

Infection and migration can be avoided if you go to a reputable piercer and take care of your piercings.

Rejection is something that can be induced if the piercing is not done properly but its also something that can't always be helped.

Go to a reputable piercer, take care of your piercing and you should be fine.

Edit://
Use salt soaks for the majority of cleaning.

Avoid products like Bactine, Neosporin, rubbing alcohol, peroxide and other harsh cleaners. They tend to dry out and irritate piercings causing discomfort and longer healing times. Over cleaning should be avoided because its bad for the piercings.

Risks include infection, soreness, migration (piercing becoming wonky) and scarring.

A reputable piercer will help you to understand the risks involved and how to prevent them. You can take the first step by chosing a clean, friendly studio, ask to see their license if you are not sure.

Check online to do some research, it is particularly useful to read other people's experiences. Bear in mind that navel piercings take approx 6-9 months to heal, and you will need to wear decent quality titanium or surgical stainless steel jewellery.

Yeah the biggest risk is infection. I can tell you that while it may cost more money to get it done at a tattoo parlor instead of a mall jewlery store like Claires or some sort.

And to lower the risks of infection listen to what the piercer tells you and follow their guidelines for care.

My cartilage and navel piercings had been approximately the identical, painwise. Most areas do use a clamp, it is helping "core" the piercing. They mark the field they will pierce, clamp it, push the needle by way of, then comply with it with the jewellery. It sounds extra painful than it truthfully is. It does no longer subject what variety of stomach you've gotten in any respect.

NO, You just can't move while it is done. You must make sure it is cleaned ( the best is sea salt) three times daily and do not wash that area with perfumed products; or else you can like anything end up with an infection.

It hurts for a second.. It is a little sore afterwards. You have to take serious care of it. Make sure you go to a nice clean place. They will tell you everything they can do.

the only risks are if you are careless. if you clean it well it won't get infected and as long as you either wear short rings or are careful when you wear dangly belly rings you won't catch it on anything or it won't hurt too much to uncatch it if it gets caught.

Lots of risks

Make sure the place you get it done at is clean and you watch them take everything out of the package. They also disinfect the tools they use, make sure you see them do that.

Also when you get it done make sure you clean it with an alcohol free cleaner. I went to walmart and bought an alcohol free face astringent and cleaned the piercing 5 times a day.
