My Corgi's eye's did the same thing. I only take pictures of her at eye level. That fixed the problem with her. I think it has something to do with the angle of the lense and her eyes.

Take the picture outside in indirect light. use a friedn with a treat in had to get the dog to look just below your direct line of sight. The green glare is a reflection from the back of the eye. if the dog is not looking square into the lens, but still in your direction you'll get a good shot, without the glare.

Dogs and cats can see in the dark much better than we can. Their eyes are made up differently, taking in and reflecting the light so that they can see at night. That is why you have troubles getting a good photo. If you try and not take the picture straight on, just hold your hand up and to the right or left with something in it, so that the dog look up slightly, you should get a better shot with eyes that are not so reflective.

I have the same problem. I think it is innate in their eye structure. They almost seem to produce light, lol. But they have some great programs where you can digitally take the red out. I works fairly well for dogs though not as well as with people. I hope this helps!

It will always turn out that way if you take a straight frontal shot.Try to get a side portrait view and the eyes should not be that way..

Try it at an angle or to get your dog to turn his/her face at an angle. You can do this by getting a ball or something your dog enjoys playing with and moving it so she stays focused on it.

Outside works well too but my dog is usually too destracted there.

my problem is that whenever i try to take a picture of my dog, she comes running at the camera, so i get a picture of the tip of her snout, plus some wet-nose smears on my camera lens lol
