yes yes yes for sure,if i had access to one of them years ago it would of made me think twice about having a baby so young and infact wanting one, only thing is it does not teach teenagers the cost of having a child.

yes its a very good idea..i think it will reduce the amount of teenage pregnancies!! however alot of them seem to think the real thing wont be as bad or as hard as the dolls and wont learn.
they should go on that tv prog the baby borrowers, where teenage couples get to live on their own, have a job, manage bill etc.. and look after other peoples babies for 4 weeks with NO help! it starts from babies all the way up to elderly lol.it was soo funny watching it,but i'm dont think they will be having children anytime soon

Good idea. A better one though was tried some years ago. 5th formers were given a baby doll, that looked very realistic. It weighted the same as a real baby, and was somehow programmed to react like a real baby. They each had to care for their 'baby' 24/7. I think the experiment lasted a week. Some very weary teen-agers handed their charges back to school, having had many sleepless nights etc. I wonder if it put them off sex?

well i dont think teens inc me, im 14 should be forced to take child development but they should maybe go on a mini course for say.. 1 term in which will learn about mother care, father care ect ect and for maybe a couple of days or a week should keep a flour sack baby or a robo-baby if the school is that rich with a partener of the oposit sex to see how hard it is.

Yes, I got pregnant at 17 and was absolutely convinced that was what I wanted, I obviously didn't know what I was getting into; don't get me wrong I ADORE my daughter and actually have two more now, but it was really hard and I did miss on a lot of things.
I'm definitely going to get my daughters one of those when theyr are teenagers

yes definitely, the early they learn about the real health knowledge the better it'll be. this can avoid a lot of the teenage getting pregnant in a early age and be more responsible for their acts. i think that all schools should be doing this !!! and of course if it is a child developement coarse , i think knowing how a baby develop is a basic...wat do you think?

Yes they should have someone let them borrow their kid for a week then see how hard it is. They also need to see a video of STD's where they show how they can get all those gross stds's. There should be seminars where teens already parents, make other teens aware of the consequenses and the hardship they are going through. Or they can just be genetically sterilized till the age of 25.

I think it is a good thing but ultimately it is still a doll and not a true living baby. The answer to our sad statistics of teen pregnancy and high STI rates is proper sex education in schools. Whatever sex education our teenagers are currently receiving is definitely not working.

yes and now days with children having sex are VERY VERY young ages i think that this is something that should be done in middle school when they learn about sex education, and then again around their freshman year in high school, also it shouldnt be just for a weekend id say a week, it will give the child more insite on what is in store and what they will have to be responsible for if they do have sex and it can come out to be this............

I would like to say yes! but I can't. It is a good idea but I don't think it will change the pregnancy rate in teenage girls. In the UK girls can 'get rid' of babies at the drop of hat without parental consent. They don't even have to tell their parents before hand. Until the government stop pandering to kids like this pregnancy and abortion rates in teens in this country will continue to soar.
