Treatment and Home Remedies For Eye Stye Because the infected tissue is deep within the eyelid, the use of topical antibiotics is ineffective in treatment. In most mild cases of hordeolum (stye), the use of hot compresses is sufficient to cause the gland to drain. We can already treat eye styes in home. Bathing the eye for 10 minutes several times a day, with cotton wool soaked in warm water, may help the stye to come to a head, and the pus to discharge. Do not try to squeeze a stye, as it usually drains by itself. 1 tsp of coriander seeds should be boiled in a cup of water. Use this preparation to wash the eyes 3 to 4 times a day. Iced or hot, tea always tastes great. Now something that adds to the greatness of tea even further. Tea bags could be used for cure of styes in eye. Wet tea bags and place it over the eyes for 8-10 minutes. Use it for several times a day. You would be surprised that this really works and gives a fast relief.

I know this sounds crazy, but I have had a stye 2 times and it worked both times. Take a piece of real gold 18K or 24K, I used a ring, rub it along the eyelid where the stye is. Mine was on the lower lid. I just rubbed it back and forth a few times, like you see women do when they put on eyeliner. I did this a few times during the day. It was gone in less than 2 days. I am not sure why it works, if there might be something in the gold, but it works.

Don't worry they are quite painful; simply follow the advice you have been given. I had more than one stye as as teenager and so did my husband. It doesn't seem to be a common ailment these days. There are lots of old wives tales about relieving the soreness but stick to the advice you have. For the future make sure that you dry the eye area gently but thoroughly. Make sure that your face towels are very clean.

I had a stye when I was in second grade. I had to apply warm compresses to my eye & had to use eye drops as well. The doctor told me to keep my hands away from my sty or it would make matters worse.

Yes. Apply warmth is the preventive as well as treatment of it as causes the stye to soften up and pus discharges, and the eye lashes come out soft and sweet, without pain.

Yes, one of my little ones got one and gave it to the other two in record quick time !! This is a very good remedy she has given you. Please try not to touch or rub the infected eye as it is very contagious and you could quite easily transfer it to the other eye. It doesn't take 10 days to clear, more like 3 - 4 days .................:0)
PEACE & LIGHT
