Its that little clear window on the back of the camera. When you look through it, you can see the image your about to take a picture of. In some cameras, its also used for focusing. Cheers!

It is what you look through to see something...In a camera its what you look through to take a picture. Telescope what you look into the see the stars. Gun what you look into to see the target.
