What type of bird is this?

This bird is white with an orange beak it was smaller than a mallard duck I found this bird in england toddington.

Hard to tell from your description....would need some more details to help you. Size, shape, bill shape..was it actually waterfowl or a different type of bird? Long legs, short legs, etc.?? An egret perhaps?

Go to the public library and look up the bird in a field guide. The librarian will be happy to help you find a good field guide.
