Do I need to buy some sort of USB adapter? The end that plugs into the Camcorder fits just fine but the other end is sort of odly shaped, it looks a little bit like a USB plug but its not. So what do I need to buy to make it plug into my computer? Follow the link below to see what I am talking about. This is what the end that is supposed to go into the computer looks like.

except for Macs, most computers don't have FW ports. You need a PCI card for your computer which you can buy at any computer store, even Best Buy. This is a separate standard from USB and no adapter exists.

You will need to go out and buy a firewire adapter card for your pc.
