OK here's what I need - I am 6'7 285 lbs -yes that is huge I know, but Ineed a vehicle that I can fit into. I also drive approx. 100 miles a day so I need to find something good on fuel mileage. Next I have a limited budget - under twenty thousand - I do not mind a used vehicle so please make any recommendation that you can - Heck if there are any dealerships out there I would love to hear your opinions I live in north east Ohio so snow is at times an issue. Realistically I think we could rule out the Lambo's and Land Rovers but I need some real advice here -

depends on what you consider good gas mileage.

you might want to start with mid size suv's

honda pilot and toyota highlander will probably give you the room you need and ok gas mileage.

on the contrary you could probably find a jeep grand cherokee or ford explorer that will fit your size, but the mileage isn't that great.

as far as cars go, you'd probably want a bigger sedan. look at 04 an 05 nissan maxima's they have good room for a tall person, they get great mileage for the size and they have excellent reviews from both professional critics and personal users. camry and accord might be too small for what you need.

i'd stay away from chevy ford and chrysler sedans, not the greatest mileage also not the best track record for maintenance.

you might also look into the cross breed's like the chrysler pacifica.

most of the models i've mentioned thru the answer are available 2 or 3 years old used with low miles for under 20k .

good luck!

6'7 .. Ok well I'm 6'1 @255
The vehicle that i was most comfortable in was a Chevy Pick-up truck. The leg Room is Great .
I suggest a K-1500 4x4 extended cab if you have family members . If your upper body is long ? I suggest this because the headroom is good as well. In a car your head will touch the top of ceiling , in most. Getting in & out of a truck is easier because of your height, In a car you will have to bend down then in ... Call 847.742.9000 ask for Jim Leichter.. He is a friend and owner of Biggers Chevrolet in Elgin.. If you want , he can sell you the car and drop ship to a dealership by your residents.... Gas millege is not bad on the newer fuel injection vehicle... Autually you might consider .. A flex fuel engine ,that the price of fuel is approx 30 cents less a gallon... Hopefully this helps u alittle . Good Luck

You'd be surprised how much head room you'll find in an economy car. That's how they make them feel bigger. A friend who's 6'7" used to drive a Geo Metro very comfortably. I'd look at something like a Caliber, Versa, or Fit. The VW beetle is known for head room... but it's also known for being a chick car.

Also, I'm 6'4" and had lots of head room to spare in my Ford Freestyle. It's also very broad had has lots of shoulder room. The Ford Five Hundred is comparable. Just stay away from the AWD - it kills gas mileage. Though that's over 20k for a new one.

Also, skip the sunroof in any vehicle. You lose at least 2 inches of head room for one of those.

I would look at the new 2007 Suzuki SX4 it comes standard with All Wheel Drive and you can get one for about $15550 to $16500. Plus Suzuki has Americas number one warrenty, ten years one hundred thousand miles and the gas milage is pretty descent for and all wheel drive car. Also I think you can turn off the all wheel drive mode to save even more gas. Im not entirely sure if it big enough for you though. I go to Suzuki.com and check it out and then go see it in person.

My Grandfather is 6'4" and about 300 puonds. He has always driven a Lincoln Town car, but those are not in the $20,000 range. My Grandfather just bought a 2007 Chevy Colorado with four doors for under $20,000. It came with an in-line 5 cyl engine. He says it gets around 24mpg on hwy and 19mpg in city. This is a beautiful truck. My Grandfather is very large and he has only one leg due to an accident, therefore getting in and out of vehicles is very difficult for him, but he says that the Colorado is easy to enter and exit due to its wide running boards and low stance... Hope this has been helpful!

Go for a light truck or a large car..

I've got a 2000 Dodge Dakota and a friend of mine is 6'5" 300 and he fits in it fine..

you might also try a larger car... like a 300M or something.. Most of them are getting decent milage now adays...

you would be suprised how much you can get in a smaller car though... just go test drive a few..

you'll find the perfect one...

I love my Buick Rendezvous. It gets decent gas mileage. In the 20s, on the highway. Check out www.driveclassic.com. The have dealerships in Painesville,Mentor, Chardon, and Willoughby Hills. They are decent people there.

look at carmax.com. You should be able to find a car on their website. You could try one of the new dodge charger or Ford five hundred. They both have a lot of room in them. You could get an SUV, but gas prices are going to be more.
