No mine is a product of humility and conforming to an intellectually rigorous methodology of thinking. If there is a God then he would be quite proud of my ability to use the mind she created. Since there is no God, it must seem confusing to those who are using outdated ways of thinking.

Atheism is not a "product" of ANYTHING. (Thanks to The Seal for the definition, since most people who attempt rational debate about Atheism haven't a clue what it is.) I can't imagine "rebelling" against anything. What could it possibly be? & why would I have "pride" in simply being who I am? I don't give a hoot what people choose to believe or disbelieve in; your question would have been interesting if you'd left out the second sentence. I don't need your advice, & I suspect this was just another attempt to rile Atheists. Well, it didn't rile me. I am free, I am happy, & I never, ever try to "convert" anyone. Have a good day.

As a Christian and a one time atheist, I do not agree with you. I was raised an atheist by an atheist who taught biology and evolution at college level. With all of my mind I believed it was impossible for God to exist. I wanted there to be a God, but absolutely could not believe in God because of all that I had been taught about evolution. I used to read the bible to try to find God, and could not make any sense of it.

All men everywhere are a product of Rebellion and Pride because of the fall of Adam and Eve. Atheism is just one manifestation of that rebellion. It takes a miracle of God to turn any of us from that rebellion, be it in the form of atheism or false religion, or total indifference to God. So don't single out the atheist. Often they are giving God a great deal more
honest consideration than many who are slumbering in religious forms.

Only Christ can give us light and turn us away from darkness, in any of its products.

And by the way, many of my earliest memories were of the certainty of God. My father had to train that out of me. So I was not born an atheist.

wow. No it comes from people learning that there is a resonable explination for everything through Mathmatics and Science. Also some do become athiest bc of people like you who say "May God open your eyes!!!" intelligent people don't follow a faith bc someone told them that "God" is almighty and you should follow him. They are going to ask why? and most responses are all fluffy " because he will make your life all better" most people of intelligence will see right through that and know that one creates his or her destiny that the effect to the cause is all their fault not some angry and smiteful god

This is an acurrate description for Atheism.

Atheism entails, minimally, the disbelief[1] in the existence of any deities.[2] It is contrasted with theism, the belief in a God or gods. Atheism is commonly defined as the positive belief that deities do not exist, or as the deliberate rejection of theism.[3][4][5] However, others define atheism as the simple absence of belief in deities[6][7][8] (cf. nontheism), thereby designating all agnostics, and people who have never heard of gods, such as newborn children, as atheists as well.[9][10] In recent years, some atheists have adopted the terms strong and weak atheism to clarify whether they consider their stance one of positive belief (strong atheism) or the mere absence of belief (weak atheism).[11][12][13]

Many self-described atheists share common skeptical concerns regarding supernatural claims, citing a lack of empirical evidence for the existence of deities. Other rationales for atheism range from the philosophical to the social to the historical. Although atheists tend toward secular philosophies such as humanism, rationalism, and naturalism, there is no one ideology or set of behaviors that all atheists adhere to.[14][15][16]

In Western culture, atheists are frequently assumed to be irreligious or non-spiritual.[17] However, some religious and spiritual beliefs, such as several forms of Buddhism, have been described by outside observers as conforming to the broader, negative definition of atheism due to their lack of any participating deities.[18][19] Atheism is also sometimes equated with antitheism (opposition to theism) or antireligion (opposition to religion), despite many atheists not holding such views.

It's funny how all the "virtues" of christianity are actually weaknesses. Pride is a virtue, not a sin, the ancients knew it, before we came to be weak accepting meak sheep.

Though I would like for atheists to all come to see that there is a true God...I believe that their unbelief is due to a need they have for proof and facts...sadly we cannot give that to them.

They cannot rebel against a God they do not believe in and pride is something we all have.
