Prayer should be as the spirit leads.
jesus said "You have not because you ask not." God knows your needs and wants, but part of the growth process is humbling yourself to ask Him for it.
Is one better than the other, no.
It is the prayer that is important. We are told to pray without ceasing. So pray as the spirit leads and you will be okay.

I do pray for myself and other people when I do pray. No I don't know any prayer websites.

Both are fine, but something even better to do is to pray for the needs of OTHERS. In turn, your own needs will be met. However, it's perfectly fine to pray for yourself as well-just ask God to carry out His will within you.

Well Jesus said where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them.
Try www.klove.com....they are a Christian radio station but they also have a page where you can submit a prayer request.
I've asked for prayer here and gotten lots of wonderful prayers (and a few strange negative answers)

Pray for self and have others pray for you. I don't know any sites, but asking people on Y! answers you can usually have many people say they will pray for you.

I know of a chapter in the bible that directs on how & what to say! Matthews the 6th chapter also the book of psalms is a book of nothing but prayers
