They it will one of the many sign of the end time false phophets that why you must learn the world put it in your heart so that you may learn a spirit of descernment

I have never physically shook hands with any of the prophets, but have been to conferences where they have spoken - I was at an area conference probably at least 15 years ago when President Benson spoke... wow!
Also, every time I listen to President Hinckley speak, my testimony that he is truly a prophet of God is reaffirmed. I know he is a prophet of God and I can see it in his face, hear it in the truth he speaks and feel it when the Spirit whispers to my heart.

I have not met a a prophet but I have met a apostle. Elder holland of the:
Church of jesus christ of latter day saints and I testify there is one true chruch and a living prophet that carrys the Holy Melchezidic and Aronic priesthood and all keys of athority pertaining to the kingdom of God.
If you research these things and pray I testify that God will confirm these thing.

Yes, I've met a few prophets who have visited our church and spoken life into them. However, they don't like to be called "prophets" though. They've merely been given the spiritual gift of prophecy.

Yes. I'm LDS and we believe that there are modern prophets. And I have met the prophet. Yes, the prophets are needed. They are special witnesses of Christ.

Hundreds of years ago people believed a man if he said he was a prophet, today we call them schizophrenic

Not really, but I have met several people that can deliver beautiful messages from Higher Spirits.
