Showing why in many european countires their teen pregnancy rate is tiny compared to our own and the US and how it should be done to be successful.

Think you can get a copy of it on the Cable reply service if you have it or off that website

It was a really interesting show and I hope it sparks debate at local and national level. It made me realise how prudish we all are when it comes to sex and we're being selfish in not helping our children be sexually responsible (myself included)

I live in the US but I think sex ed is a great idea. The more students learn about sex, the more empowered students will be to make healthy sexual decisions. Knowledge is power. Let's empower students today to make responsible decisions about sex rather than maintaining the mystery that leads to uninformed and irresponsible behaviors.

Yet, there is a strong faction that argues that informing students about sex and drugs only gives them ideas that they will try to experience and increases irresponsible behavior. I would argue that responsible and informed experimentation is less risky and destructive than complete ignorance b/c sex and drugs will happen whether we talk about it or not.

I missed that when it was on but thanks for the link as it was interesting to read.

I want to bring up my boys to be aware of the whole thing and not be in a rush to have sex or catch STDs.

Its a shame that UK has the worse rating for teen pregnancies which is worrying.
