I want to purchase a new camera. I was looking at the Canon 20D but I was wondering if there was a better one around the same price. Basically I have NO idea what 20D means! I know I want one that takes crystal clear pics and it MUST be digital and have a hook up to my computer.

Thanks a bunch!!

firstly, the 20D was replaced by the 30D. Not too many changes. A larger LCD, some more continuous mode options and such. It's an excellent camera but rather big and heavy.

If your only requirement is crystal clear pics and will hook up to your computer- you can live with a lot less.

If you really want a DSLR- then there are many to choose from. The Canon XTi might suit your needs, or the Nikon D80 (or a host of others).
