I just went on JC Penneys, Lowes, and Home Depot, and only found 2-3 different kinds of vertical blinds. I really wanted colored ones and I am only seeing huge ones for doors.

you'll find plenty of places around you that will carry vertical blinds. But yes they are more and more going out of style as they are such a pain in the butt, at least thats been the general sentiment, and drapery is making a comeback. Its a phase....
