Canola oil is the only kind I use for deep frying. It's slightly more expensive, but worth it.

Yes, very good. It's high in mono-unsaturated fats and has a high flash point meaning it can be heated to a very high temperature without starting to smoke and burn. If I were frying scallops I'd use canola oil.

yes its healthier any oil is good some fry faster then others but canola is much healther for u anyways

It's all I fry in. Heart disease runs in the family and it is supposed to be somewhat healthier for you than vegetable oil.

It works fine, but I really prefer grapeseed oil. It has a higher smoke point and cleaner taste.

deep fry the hush puppys but gently saute the scallops! dont believe me try it both ways
