Why worry over something that is dictated by man?
Look, this whole no-meat-during-lent crap started when fishmongers in Europe petitioned a pope to help them (READ: bribed), and he said okay, no meat on Fridays, ya gotta eat fish. This has NOTHING to do with any god or religion or the Great Teacher, Jesus the Christ.
Start thinking critically, and reading a lot more. There's a lot to discover about what is NOT being taught in religions that should be taught. The unfortunate thing is, people in power love to stay in power and a common way to do that is to keep people ignorant (why do you think only the clergy and royalty could learn to read and write during the dark ages and middle ages?) and full of fear (if you don't do as I say, you'll BURN IN HELL!!).
C'mon. Really? If that's so, then according to all the religions EVERYBODY'S going to burn in hell. So, stop worrying about eating what you want when you want. Eat fish on any day you want. eat dead, cut-up, burnt animals on any day you want. It will only matter to YOU!

For Catholics, I believe not eating meat on Fridays during lent is optional except for Good Friday. It's not a sin, so going to confession isn't necessary. Relax and try to remember next week. The Lord knows you just forgot.

The Lord forgives us for much worse than eating meat on Fridays, believe me...God forgives us, through Jesus, on everything, over and over again...just ask for firgiveness, and try not to do anything that you think offends the Lord again. God bless

Uh, read the book of Romans where Paul declares Jesus made every kind of food clean (the early Christians felt they were still bound by Jewish kosher laws, but are not, by God's grace). You are not helping the cause of Christ by keeping silly dietary laws. They're not even in the Bible! So eat what you'd like.

It never says in the bible not to eat meat on Fridays. That's a Catholic thing. I eat meat every friday. I respect the Catholics, but I don't feel that way. IN fact it says in the bible to eat meat. Anyway, I would pray about it.

If you are a Catholic, I think you have to go to confession and receive absolution from your priest. I am not a Catholic, but this is my understanding of the procedure. If you are Protestant, do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel better about it - pray, fast, ask God for forgiveness, vow not to do it again, etc. You could also ask your priest/pastor/minister or whomever you trust next time you're at church.

trust me you won't go to hell for accidentally eating meat on friday if you feel really bad I suggest going to confession or just confessing to god but god is a little bit more forgiving than to condemn you for that...after all you are only human and you are not perfect...the good thing is that you are sorry...

Eat meat, drink and be merry. If God did not want you to eat meat, there would be no meat to eat. In regards to being mad at Jesus and God, supposedly the supreme being, God gave you feelings, so be pissed off if you want to be pissed off.

I think lent is retarded (I am catholic too) I think your time would be better spend helping a old lady or a homeless shelter then worrying about a turkey sandwich. Go help someone who needs help or is less fortunate then you.... it's will more then make up for it.
