i live in the new york metro area but will travel to nj, deleware, pennsylvania. i would like either a boy or girl

yes it is the same as a pit bull, and as the owner of other pit bulls, i know that they can be very loving companions

You should visit your local SPCA or other shelters. I'm sure they'll have plenty of staffordshire or staffy mixes to choose from. In my opinion, you should consider adopting an adult dog. They're much easier to take care of. Puppies are extremely dependent and time-consuming, just like any baby!
Also, you should take time (if you haven't already) and research this breed of dog. Stafffordshire's and any bully breed require a lot of added responsibility and have very unique qualities that you should be prepared for.

played with a 13 week old blue bull terrier...was adorable and the colour was beautiful
