Ha We had a Jack Russell Fox terrier.. He did the same thing it was so GROSS

He had a stuffed scooby doo that we eventually just gave him cuz we would keep finding him humping it. Sometimes we would find wet YUCK!!!!

He would stop if we told him but to think of what happened when we werent around to say stop. Our cat just looked so irritated when he would try it too Him.

Im not sure how it works with animals.. but I know humans that get fixed still get the urge...lol.. Maybe he just likes it... poor squirrel

You are seeing dominance behavior and not rape.
It is not a sexual thing it is a dominance behavior. That is how the dominant dog will treat other animals that he feels are below him in the pack order.
Let you dog know in no uncertain terms that the behavior is not going to be tolerated by you and he is going to get into trouble for it. After a few times her should get the idea and it should slow down some. Most dogs with some training can be taught not to hump everything they see.

I have the same thing happening with my 2 dogs. I have a small rat terrier (1 on April 1) that is nuetured and Golden lab (born in November) who isn't nuetered. They are always humpping each other. The lab even one day humpped our loveseat in our living room.

Some animals still like going thru the motion even if they don't have the required equipment. I has a nutered cat that went senile and humped a teddy bear for 12 hours a day.

LOL a squirrel, How did he catch it? on the movie click it was a big yellow duck.

Anyway, You should correct the behavior when your home, but when your away make sure the stuffed toy is out so that he can take care of business when your not home. Good Luck

I have discovered that when you have a dog, be it male or female, that likes that "feeling" that there isn't much you can do to change the matter. Unless perhaps asking your vet to give the young man estrogen shots that will overtake the excessive testosterone in his system that causes these kinds of behaviors. Just a suggestion...good luck. Jumping on the back of another animal and pumping the hips isn't always a sex act for a dog. Often, it's a simple display of dominance.

Your fox terrier is not raping everything, he is trying to show that he is dominant over them. You need to correct the behavior so that he will learn that he isn't supposed to do that, and also know that you are the dominant one, not him.

He's not raping them. He is asserting his dominance. It is normal for male and female dogs to do that.
