Bad idea and yes I want them home too (including my brother).
There is nothing at this point in time to suggest that the Iraqi government can survive without US support. And should we leave, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Egypt Jordan will end up in a nasty proxy war whose only winner is Al Quaeda.
A phased withdrawal over a given timespan is better...better to have written in "Beginning in Fall of 2008, US forces will begin to draw down...."

I spent 2 years in Iraq (2003 & 2005) and I'll tell you that a lot of things are worse over there. However, we can't just leave. I do agree with the fact that we need to lower the amount of troops over there; we don't need to be actively patroling the streets...just be there if they need our help. We've started something...we need to finish it.

This would be the best thing that ever happened to Al Quaeda.
(Remember that Al Quaeda feels that a Democratic Congress and Presidency is beneficial for them!)

As with most things in life, it is all about timing. Let the military decide when to leave.

I think it sucks, big time. It tells our enemies that all they have to do is stand fast until then and we'll be gone, leaving them free to overrrun the country and undo everything our soldiers died to establish. In the mean time, they'll continue to attack and kill our soldiers for what will by then be a moot point. Useless killing, courtesy of the Demoncratic Party and its leader, Queen Pelosi.
Anyone who thinks cutting and running is a good idea and a viable war strategy is an idiot. This is nothing but what Bush said it was, a political ploy that will serve no real good.

I like the idea of bringing our troops home! And I like the idea of Bush not wasting anymore money on a war we shouldn't be in. Sadaam Hussein was not an immediate threat and I think that Bush is only trying to finish what his daddy couldn't do...Why didn't they call this war Desert Storm 2? That's all it is. If anything, we should be focusing on finding Osama Bin Laden! Being that we still haven't found him and he's a major threat to America!! Yes, PULL OUT OF IRAQ and give our troops a break!

I think that if it passes, we will have told the crazies just exactly how long they will have to wait before they can overthrow the Iraqi government.
