It's brunette, but maybe if you did it longer it would get darker? Hmm

The only recipes I've seen involve henna mixed with indigo or black walnut hulls.
But the black walnut hulls have to be FRESH, which means, still green (I mean, the outside thing that looks kinda like a lime.) Plus, it stains like crazy--you can't really bleach it off your skin. You just have to wait for the stains to wear off.
If you can get hold of good-quality henna (tricky) and good-quality indigo (trickier), that's another option. But you'd need to know basic henna properties, like what to mix it with, what kind of catalysts to make it dark, etc.
I suppose you could put some black coffee or tea on it. But that's not permanent.
I just buy mine in a box from the store. I like Natural Match OK, but I think I'll probably go back to L'oreal Excellence.

lol yeah u can surely make it at home but u need henna leaves groung to paste and to it u shud add some amla it's a citrus fruit , or lemon juice if amla is not available...keep the mixture for 3 days and the result is black hair dye....to this u shud add some per oxide if u want the colour to retain for long so that the colour fixes nicely.
