I have a 3 month old puggle. I give him baths when he needs them and keep him very clean... my problem is that Murphy (thats his name) always has tear stains... I wipe them away with a damp wash cloth but the stains are still there.. any suggestions on how to get them to go away?

There are several products on the market but I use Diamond Eye. You can get it at any pet store for about 5 dollars!! Works great!! You just put a little on a Cotton ball and wipe it gently takes a few time at the beginning but it works great and is gentle on the eyes!!

You need to keep them wiped on a daily basis. Animals with dark coats can get the stains from their tears and saliva just as easily as ones with light coats. You can put a very small amount of Vasoline on the fur away from the eyes (after theyhave been cleaned) to discourage the moisture from staining the fur, but daily wiping gently is your best defense. Remember, do not use anything other than clear water around an animals eyes to clean. Good luck!

There are places that specialize in taking them away. You can look on the internet for places that do this around your area. Most of them will be in the paper or the buyers guide. All dogs have the same problems, usually when you buy a breed it will have a perfect picture of them, wich is usually a show dog. I hope this helped! :]

It naturally happens on animals with light fur, it's actually a natural way of deflecting light away from their eyes. There is a product called Diamond Eye that helps prevent staining.

Go to this site and get Eye Envy it is all natural and doesn't have all the chemicals the other products have. It will take care of the stains and will not harm him even if it gets in his eyes. I use it on my baby and it works. http://stores.ebay.com/S-B-PET-PRODUCTS

You can buy stuff from your vet to take care of that or just use Vaseline.Put it under the eye after you wash them.
