Stormy, Smokey, Misty
Whenever I got Misty, it was misting outside, barely raining; plus Misty's a grayish-whitish color. Whenever I got Stormy, was right in the middle of a thunderstorm; and she's a calico so her colors are all swirled like the wind blowing debris everywhere. And Smokey was rescued from a burning house; and she's also solid charcoal gray.

No, these are actually good names because all of your cats are named from an actual thing that happened to them and I think that's pretty cool...Also their names match them a lot lol!!! That's kool I have a cat and I should have done that...&hearts' it!!!!

The wonderful thing about naming a pet is that the weirder the better! You can't name your kids "Cuddles" or "Mr. Trouble", but you can go nuts with your pets! It's a lot of fun. I love the name Stormy for a calico cat. Misty and Smokey are pretty common pet names, but there's nothing wrong with that. My cats are Simba & Tigger which are quite boring, but the names really suit them so it's cool. "Simba" is Swahili for "King" and he acted like the king of my household when he was a kitten...I didn't know Disney would come out with a movie called the Lion King with a main character named Simba! So much for uniqueness! And Tigger...well he's actually named after the Winnie The Pooh character because he bounces off walls and he's got tiger stripes! :-)

I think those are great names. I had two dogs, born on Christmas eve named Holly and St. Nick, My son has a cat named Crazy because of the way he acted when he was a kitten, and my other son had a cat named Bill. People would always comment on "a cat named Bill" but he was already named when he got him. You really can be creative with pet names. Personally, I wanted to name the male dog Mistletoe but the rest of the family vetoed that.

Not weird- they're among the most common cat names.
There was a cat at the kennel I used to work at named Mr. Black and White- not so weird, but long.
My oldest brother's cat walks a bit strangely due to his malformed back legs, so he's named Giddyup.
My youngest brother's shopcat is named F***face (they call him "Cupcake" to appease the boss).
And there is at least one cat in my town licensed under the name Sh*tter.

That's funny, I named my dog Misty because of the weather too! lol It was a kind of a foggy "misty" night. I don't think they are weird. But if you get any more pets, maybe Sunny if they are friendly, or Shady, if they are a mis-behaver! lol

Those names are fine. The situation you got them in is suited to their names--that's cool. I have a black and white tuxedo cat that I have named Winston. He is named after Winston Churchill, and John Lennon, whose middle name was Winston. In one respect, I have given him a dignified name because his coat makes him look dignified. On the other, it's purely personal: John Lennon was one of my favourite singers from one of my favourite bands: The Beatles.

Of course their are weird names just like people have weird names, I have a cat who had a hernia when she was born and when it was fixed that became her name Hernia. She is a beautiful part simese cat and her brother's name is Herman. They are alike in colour and stature except the simese has come out in the male more in the facial features and his eyes are crossed like the simese. They both have sky blue eyes that turn red when the light shines in them.

Those names aren't bad at all; I've heard worse. I personally prefer to choose "human" names for my cats (my two cats are named Eli and Isaac; my wife's two cats are named Gabby and Haley), but the names you chose aren't that bad. My wife actually had cat named Misty at one time.

perfectly normal if you ask me. I have a male and a female cat and they are Bonnie and Clyde. The vet thinks that is hilarious.
