Do you have a ring that she left behind??? If you do, you can take it to the jewelery store and they can tell you what size to buy

The average size ring for a woman is between 6 1/2 to 7. Look at her hands. If they are chubby, then she would be a 7 1/2 to 8. If she has thin long fingers, then think 6 to 7. I would get about a 7, and then you can have the jeweler where you bought the ring, size it down to the correct size. You can also ask her Mom or sister if she has one.

I think most jewelers will allow you to bring it back to have it sized for free. I would get maybe like a size 6. Problem with the rings she has is that all fingers are different sizes. I cannot wear my engagement ring or wedding ring on any other finger because they do not fit. Unless of course you have seen a specific ring on the ring finger. I would go with a size 6 and then go back to have it sized down. Or bring a female with you that has about the same size fingers.

Hmm...I don't know that you'll be able to pull it off by tricking her into telling you...women are very intuitive and if you've been datitng a while and she's hoping you'll ask her, she'll be tuned right into that trick! You're going to have to rely who you know. Contact any of her famiy or friends and ask them....and they're usually great about keeping a secret.Try contacting her best friend...they know everything!! If you or any of her famliy (or maybe she has a roommate) can get into her house you can look for other rings. Another general rule of thumb...is it is very similar to her shoe size, so if you know what size shoe she wears, you can try that route. Also, I don't know of any jewelry store that will not size an engagement ring for free for you. Congratulations! It'll work out perfect!

Call her mother and ask her what size her class ring was. Her high school may also know the name of the company that the rings were ordered through and you could possibly contact them. If you have access to her things, see if you can find a ring that she wears on that finger and take it with you when you go shopping.

I think your best bet is to have someone else ask her. Have her mom call and come up with some story about a ring and she wondered if it would fit her.
If you don't mind taking a ring back in to get sized then you could just go with 7. That is more then likely either going to fit or be just a tad too big.

The best thing would be if you had another ring she wears or has. If not, ask a family member or a best friend that might no. I think the average ring size is like 7. If her fingers are pudgy, like mine are, might try a 9. IF you really want to propose, your best bet would be to buy the ring and take it back. Hope she says yes!

Either look in her jewellery box and take a ring you know she wears on her ring finger or ask her mom, sister, friend, etc. You don't have to tell them you are proposing to her cuz you might wanna make it secret for everyone so just say that you saw this nice ring that she would for sure like and you wanted to buy it for her and give to her on her next birthday (or whatever other big event you would give her a present for).

If you can, speak with her parents, and ask her mother if she knows, you can also "ask" her father for his blessing--dad's LOVE this!! Or, if you have one of her rings, or can get a ring she wears, take it to the jeweler and they'll figure the size. I wouldn't ask her, or even bring it up with her. If you want it to be a surprize, she'll INSTANTLY wonder why you want to know her ring size, and she won't have to work too hard to figure out why either.
If you do get a ring that doesn't fit, the jeweler you buy it at should offer to size it free of charge, most do that with rings.
Congrats and best of luck to you!

If you have been in a relationship a while with this girl I can almost guarantee she has told her mom, dad, best friend, sister, brother, hair salon, dog groomer, teachers, co-wokers...etc. her ring size, just incase you should come around asking. use your resources. Ask anyone and everyone, but make sure they know it is a surprise. Mom and Dad would be a good bet first. Getting a hold of one of her rings would be good too. See if her mom has a ring your girlfriend likes to borrow. Good luck!

Dig through her jewelry box.... also find out from the jeweler how close you have to be.... I think you can have some of the rings sized after wards if they are 1/2 of a size difference.
