Wow, congress just attached a pull out plan to a bill which pertains to funding for the military actions in Afganhastan.

Is this a good Idea, do we know what really is going on in the middle east?

And is it a good Idea to force the White house to make this move?

September 2008 is an eminently reasonable withdrawal date. If Iraq is not stable and self-sufficient long before then, that would indicate that this civil war could last for a decade or more. In any case, our troops shouldn’t be policing a civil war. Continuing our participation in this misbegotten war weakens us. Setting a definite pull out date actually saves face. Bush doesn’t see it that way but he has been wrong about every single aspect of this war since before its beginning.

It's a bad idea in every way. This tells our enemies in Iraq that all they have to do is hold their ground until August 2008 when the US troops will leave, and then they can do whatever they want. In the mean time, more US troops will be killed for what will then be no viable reason.

Our Demoncratic congress has turned its collective backs on our men and women in uniform, and I hope they all burn in hell for it.

And I don't care what Pelosi says, this is NOT what the "voice of America" wants.

I do think this will look like a victory in the eyes of the enemy , i wish this would have been a confidential military tactic instead of making it a political issue , i can see how it would make it more dangerous for the troops , i say put 300,000 more troops to clean house or bring them home today and accept defeat and hope for the best

Good for the terrorists. Bad for the Iraqi people and world peace.

Good idea. Continuing to bleed for a mistake that never should have happened would be foolish.
