I've had my lip, tongue, ears, belly-button, and a surface piercing on my wrist.. they all hurt less than my nipple piercing.
The nipple piercing was by far the most painful - it felt like a burning sensation, however it was extremely quick and out of all the piercings it is the only one i still have in!
I have never had any troubles with infection (or pain after the initial piercing) and i've had it in for about 5 years..
Definatly worth the pain! With mine it is very hard to see under clothes unless i'm wearing a very thin shirt with no bra.. also nothing adverse has happened to my nipple (like for example it's not erect all the time, it hasn't changed shape etc).
I would wait a day or two just for the initial swelling to go down, but you will certainly be able to exercise within a week after having it done, if you are worried just make sure you wear a firm (but breathable) sports bra.
Good luck if you do decide to go ahead!

Pain varies so much from person to person that what other people felt can't be taken into consideration. Everyone tolerance to pain is different. I can promise you that you'll feel something and chances are it won't be pleasant.
As far as seeing it though clothing it depends on what you wear. If you have a bra and a shirt, you won't notice them easily.
Exercise is possible, but you will want to take it easy, the area can be sore for a while, so wear a comfortable bra and be sure that if you work up a sweat that you clean the piercings well and as soon as possible.

The pain differs from person to person, but for me it was quick, take a deep breath in as they are ready to put the needle in, exhale as they push it through, it's really not that bad. They are noticeable under a shirt but only if you never wear a bra, which by the way, you will want to wear a bra after you get them done, it feels better. Excercise is not a big deal, just wear a sports bra so they are not...bouncing around which would be fairly uncomfortable with new nipple piercings.

I have had both of mine done now for about a year and a half now. At the beginning they where tender to the touch - even my breasts! After about a week the pain subsided. If you clean it regularly you will be fine. As far as clothes go - if I don't wear a bra then it is noticeable and of course any tight clothing. Wear a padded bra if you don't want anyone else to see them. If you do exercise right after make sure you wear a bra and a sports bra - they will be tender like I said and you don't want any bouncing going on. Also try not to lay on your stomach for a week. But you will love them!
Hope this helped!! Good luck!!

I wouldn't do it! I had a friend who had both her nipples pierced and got into a car accident and the air bag ripped them out! You never know what will happen mine hurt if you look at them the wrong way. OUCH!
