You need to go to a psych MD and follow through with treatment. Going once doesn't qualify as "treatment", because can take quite a while for any psych MD to find the medications that will help to stabilize your disorder. It takes time to find the right combination of medications that will work for you, and time for those medications to work. "Hypersexuality" is one of the most difficult of the symptoms of bipolar d/o to eliminate, but it CAN be done. Also, one of the major complicating factors of bipolar d/o is suicidality--you need help to deal with the disorder, just as a person with cancer needs help to learn to live with their disease.

Also, you need to see a therapist/counselor in conjunction with your treatment with a psych MD. The therapist will help you work on behavioral strategies to help you learn ways to control your behavior and learn to deal with your moods when you are having a manic or a depressive episode (or a "mixed" episode).

If you cannot afford a private psych MD and therapist, you can call one of the government-operated mental health clinics in your area. But it is possible with the correct medication to become stable with bipolar disorder. Good luck!

1. Go to the ER right now, and tell them of suicidal thoughts and bipolar disease with active mania and depression. If it was me, I'd say I was having a psychiatric emergency. You or the nurse can call your doctor from there.

2. Once you're there, If you have insurance, have the intake nurse call the mental health number on the card. They will tell you where to go for longer care. If you don't have insurance you'll still go to another place for care. Don't worry they are usually nicer than the ER.

Since you have reached out for help on this board, I know that you want to live. You must keep yourself safe from false ideas that your brain is sending you. You know your situation is dangerous because of your suicide attempts. Go somewhere safe! Right Now! Don't let you ill brain trick you into killing yourself. Don't let this disease beat you. Go somewhere safe where you'll have reinforcements so you can kick it's ***. Does a disease have an ***? If so you can totally kick it! Just go to the ER and get safe.
