I think that is more along the lines of asking what is the difference between witchcraft and wiccan. Satanism is an accepted religion. There are churches of Satan. It is an organized religion with beliefs, rituals, and ways of doing things within the heirarchy of the church. Someone could be a devil worshiper by name without having any organized religion to follow. In essence, they are of the same idea.

A lot of people already answered. Satanists don't believe in Satan. They are more athiestic and worship self and endulge in the act of "sin" claiming to be without guilt and merely for self pleasure. They don't really worship Satan. They just use Satan as a word for sinful pleasures. Devil worshipers both believe in and worship the Devil.

There's two different forms of Satanism. There's the Theistic form which views Satan as an actual deity. Then there's LaVeyan Satanism which is Atheistic and sees Satan as symbolic. LaVeyan Satanism is more a form of self worship. Devil worship is something totally different.

Most forms of Satanism are atheistic humanistic philosophies. Only a few actively worship a deity or demigod associated with darkness or evil, and these would be devil worship (even if it is not necessarily the Christian devil).

there is countless categories of Satanism. the main elementary type is LaVeyan Satanism. LaVeyan Satanism does not easily instruct that the devil is real or something. Its message is extra often than not one in each of hedonism, rational self interest, and mutual admire between you and others. maximum fundies hear Satanism and anticipate human beings mean Theistic Satanism, which, so some distance as i will tell, incredibly plenty does not exist. seems such as you comprehend the basics besides, so i'm unsure what the question is in there. i might propose the wikipedia article on LaVeyan Satanism for any fundies that care to enlighten themselves. it type of feels fairly finished, yet whether, i'm not a Satanist, so that is not straightforward for me to declare.

Depends on the view of Satanism.
Not all forms of Satanism are theistic. Some followers are complete atheists. They like the ideas embodied in Satan and so use him as an example. But they do not believe he is real.
Other Satanists are theistic - which means that they believe that Satan is real. But most do not believe the Christian view point on Satan. Diane Vera would be a good example of this.
Devil Worshippers view Satan as Christians do and chose to worship him instead of God - usually in complete defiance of God. They do not believe that Satan has been wrongly represented (like theistic Satanist) or that he doesn't exist. They believe in the Christian viewpoint of Satan and celebrate him in this context.

Well, I define Devil worshiping as people who worship because of shock value, where Satanist is a actual practice.

Satanism actually isn't the worship of Satan. Satanism worships the "divinity within ourselves". It teaches that there are no divinities other than yourself. (not even Satan).
Devil Worshiping is ... well ... worshiping Satan.
