I've been reading other questions and answers on the subject and my problem is that the last I knew I had combination skin. My forehead breaks out in little bumps and my chin gets zits all the time!! When they finally go away they leave a little red mark, almost like a scar on my chin. So when I'm out in the sunlight even with makeup on you can see my old breakouts still including my new zits. It's so irritating. I've used Neutrogena Acne wash since I was in high school, (12 years) and I didn't know if skin changes and you need to switch brands or if I should add anything to my routine. I use Neutrogena Acne Wash everyday and Oil of Olay complete moisturizer and that's it. Should I switch products, add something? My boyfriend has been trying to get me to quit touching my face. Sometimes I rest my chin on my hand and I know that can cause skin problems, when you touch your face too much. I would like to stay away from pricey stuff like Arbonne because I just cannot afford it!

You don't need to use super expensive products for good results. A lot of it is trial and error, what works for a friend might not work for you. It is important though to use products made for the face, never use soap that is made for the body. It is far too alkaline and will be too drying. You do need to stop touching your face because you are just rubbing in the dirt and oil. As long as you don't have sensitive skin, try using something like Loreal's Refinish (manual microdermabrasion) or the glycolic product (cannot spell that off the top of my head) It is only a 10 percent solution so it is much milder then what you would find at a spa or dermatologists. This will help reduce the look of post acne scarring or the little post acne 'dark spots' if you have them. Do not overuse, totally follow the directions. If you use the glycolic, it is important to note any instructions (if any) regarding your regular exfoliation. Normally that needs to be done once to twice a week (once if senstive) But again, you don't want to overdo anything that might irritate. The skin does change as we age. I suggest trying a product for combination skin because if what you are using is too drying for you skin type your skin will make up for it by producing more oil. You will need to use a mask of some sort once to twice a week for your night-time routine. This can be as simple as going to your health food store (or similar) and getting french green clay. This will help to gently absorb excess oils and is not overly drying. This is in powder form and you can either get in in bulk and measure out a bit, or some places have it where you can buy a small jar of it (a company named Rainbow has this) You only need about a half teaspoon of this with just enough water to make it a bit thicker than milk. You only need a very thin layer, do not apply under the eyes, Apply this after washing and exfoliating if applicable. Leave on 10 to 15 minutes until dry. Rinse off with cool water. Even though your skin has oil, you still need a moisturizer. Just use one for your skin type, one that is oil free. And try to get one with an SPF.

I have the same type of issues and also have quite a few clients with the same problems too. The All Clear line from BeautiControl would be a great place to start for you. It retails for $59.50 and includes the cleanser, solution, scrub and moisturizer. I would also recommend a sunscreen with the morning application. Cell Block-C am is the product I would recommend trying...the retail is $25. Most get 3-4 months usage out of the products.

I could send a free sample of the All Clear. Or you can purchase a set...risk free....if you don't see results after 30 days, return and you will receive your money back.

Visit the website for more information...there are many more products that compliment that line. After you have the blemishes under control....those red areas will start to disappear. There are other items to add to the regimen to help speed that along. But, I would recommend trying just what I mentioned first.

I hope this helps!

Yes, I had the exact same problem. The reason why your blackheads and pimples aren't going away is that when you wash your face to often or try too many different cleansers it make your face produce even more acne. The simple solution is to wash your face every night with warm water and regular soap. I may take 3-6 days to see an improvement. So if you don't see immediate results don't get discouraged! You can also help your face by laying on your back while you sleep. The bacteria on your pillow may help contribute to your acne. If you may end up seeing a pimple, don't stress out! Believe it or not but one little occurrence that may stress you out can produce up to 60% more unwanted oil on your face. Good Luck!

I have the SAME PROBLEM! (so I'm intrested in the answers on this one.)

but I have 2 things to say...

1. No matter what they tell you, I think you should release the "poison" on big white heads. Why keep that crud in your body?

2. *ALWAY USE* Triple Antibiodic Cream (found in stores in the band-aid area), on popped zits. I've tried tons of things.. I cannot say that this makes them go away faster, but it DEFINATLY helps the scaring. Make that ELMIMINTAES scaring.
With this cream, after applying for a while, zits don't get/stay crusty, sore, and red.
You can apply make-up much FASTER than going without cream

hope this helps some

I was suspect that you may need to look at your diet. More of times than not it is what you are putting on the inside that comes out on the outside.

You should make sure you drink lots of water. You can actually see how you are doing by checking the color of your urine. The clearer the better.

I don't work for them, but, the very best skin care products are made by Clarin's. Very expensive but excellent.
