the ppl from the car lot let me take it without car insurance. I let my b/f take it to work and on his way home he got into a car accident!!! Now the ppl from the car lot want us to pay for the crush (which I understand) but they also said they would take the suv to get fixed and now it's been a little over a month and still the suv isn't fixed. Would I be able to get my down payment back??? Should I pay for the accident even thou they let me take it without insurance??? I'v never have bought a car before and I really need good advice can someone please give me some good advice???

You don't say where you are but in NY the dealer would be responsible. what plates did you drive it with? Did the dealer issue a temp? if so I would think its the dealers problem because in most states it is not legal to issue a temp with out proof of insrance. I would call the local DMV office as well as the local Bar association. Most bar aocciations offer free legal advice.

Well I'm no expert, but if they were dumb enough to allow you to take it without insurance than I would guess it is your responsibility, in part for not having it, but also theirs for allowing you to take it
