A nice carmel brown or red would look nice. You didnt state if your hair was naturally black or dyed black. Either way, it will be hard for you to achieve a blond without over-processing your hair. So dont do too much or you will have frizzy highlights. And after you dye it...condition it regularly! good luck!

Sorry, but I absolutely hate highlights in black hair. I think black hair is beautiful and you'd be better off finding a product which gives your hair added shine.

Dont go more than two to three shades lighter than your natural color. It looks so fake and rediculous and no one likes fake looking hair. A dark brown with goldish undertones would really bring out a golden tan

Nothing lighter than a honey brown. Blonde highlights against black hair look SO fake, tacky, and overdone. I like auburn against black, that's what I would recommend.

OMG NO BLONDE! Try some darker brown highlights. It adds dimention to the hair without looking harsh or unnatural.

red tones would look really good but thin ones to make it more natural looking.
my hair is straight and black and i have red frosting from the roots down with highlights thrown in ever so often and everyone completely loves it.

well, when u highlight it, use a dark red or brown, and make sure u highliht it when its straight, so if u ever straighten it, the color isnt all over the place. DONT USE BLONDE!!!

add blounde highlights it always looks good.
my friend did put in dark red highlights in her black hir and it looks great.
