During a night time wedding, and had little or no cleanup?

Bubbles, if you're outside.

I've also seen people use sparklers...obviously not tossing them, but waving them in the air as the bride and groom leave. Makes for some cool pictures if you have a good photographer. Provide a place for people to put their sparkler when it's gone...and remember it will be hot, so it needs to be fireproof (like a metal bucket)

We tossed birdseed, no cleanup because the birds ate it all. Ive also seen bubbles, which can be very pretty, especially if you have a bubble machine.

Or instead of tossing something at the bride and groom, my brother and his wife handed out balloons to everyone ,you could tie a short light stick (2 inch) to all the strings, they come in assorted colors, and you can usually find them fairly inexpensive on eBay, just make sure they are not too heavy to let the balloon fly away, and let them soar.

Not that you could see it at night, but, for future reference...it is a complete myth that rice causes harm to birds...It's not true, don't buy it...dont beleive me? Check it out on Snopes.com

Edited to add: Birdseed sounds like a great idea, but trust me, in some instances it is harder to clean up than rice. When you throw it on the couple, it will get in their hair, their clothes and consequently the getaway car. I knew a girl who got married that was still finding birdseed in her husbands car 6 months later. The same thing will happen with Rice...and be careful with the bubbles thing...one good bubble burst or bubble bottle spill on a pristine white dress can cause a spot. or a blob on the dress that could set in.

Sparklers are a great idea, as are candles, especially for night time weddings.

I think the sparklers are a great ideas, there's practically no cleanup and they're very affordable. It also makes for a exciting send off. PERFECT for night weddings!

Bubbles work great! Other options (since it's night time and you might not see the bubbles) are just lighting candles or sparklers or buying those little bells for people to ring. You can also use birdseed (if you're outside) since the birds will clean it up for you :)

I heard people are using Bird seed. Its safe for birds and really doesn't require any clean-up. Hard to see during the night, but pretty much everything will be

Bubbles are great, sparklers are nice but make sure you have room, chinese yoyo's the paper ones on a stick, remember those, you can use them. FYI, check the facility to see what they allow, my place did not allow birdseed, rice or rose petals.

I found a site that has streamers but you put the "ring holder" on your finger..you flick the streamers at them then all you have to do is take the "ring holder" off your finger and toss in the trash...Im sure there will be a few loose streamers but it will be an easy clean up...

Night time weddings-

well rose petals are biodegradable... they will wither and become dust soon enough...

Rice will get eaten by the birds

We don't plan on throwing anything for that reason, I don't want anyone to have to clean it up. I bought a bunch of bells on eBay and I'm going to tie ribbon and cards to them and let everyone ring them when we leave. Good Luck!
