my 3-yr old Frenchie shows signs of aggression (rather fear aggression) when people are coming near him and never lets someone to pat him. He feels threatened i think and under these circumstances you can't trust him because he can bite at any time. We already tried obedience training (kind of late though) and he got better but still there is more work to be done.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A dog who shows fear aggression is very unlikely to be helped by the typical obedience instructor. He needs someone much more specialized - a behaviourist, to help change his behaviour. They'll come to your house and work with you, because part of what they do, is see the relationship and interaction between you and your dog and teach you how to re-train and socialize him.
