I don't even feel most people are attacking us. I look forward to these questions as an opportunity to teach others more about us.

No, you should never attack anothers belief system, but we do it all the time... Unfortunately it is human nature. Many Christian denominations believe that LDS is a cult or pagan faith, I suspect this is what is behind the attacks. As for the atheists, I have no explanation. Does it make it right? Absolutely not. On behalf of all of the Christians that might be doing so I offer my sincere apologies. God Bless!

Most posters, that I've read, have just been honest about what the LDS church believes. I don't know why the LDS think that just because someone brings up the fact that the LDS believe that God is an exalted man, and they don't agree with it, that person is ATTACKING the LDS church. If people don't agree with you doctrinally doesn't mean they are attacking your church. It just means that we disagree, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm glad that we are not all mindless robots, programmed to think alike. (I'm not calling the LDS mindless robots)

What you you consider to be an "attack"?

I don't think that simply disagreeing with someone else is an attack.

As a Christian, I believe that it is my duty to spread the truth; and since I am NOT a member of the LDS church, then obviously I do not agree with what they teach (otherwise I would have became a member).

---edit---

I consider it my duty as a Christian to refute what I see as error. If someone is spreading what appears to be falsehood, then I have a duty to counter it with the truth, so that people can see both sides and make up their own mind.

Since most Christian denominations consider the teachings of Joseph Smith to be a heresy that will lead its followers into Hell, then most Christians believe that it is their duty to help rescue Mormons from the false teaching of Joseph Smith before it is too late for them, and to warn other people to avoid falling into the spiritual trap that is the false teachings of the LDS church.

In short, Christians believe that it is their duty to warn ALL sinners that they are going to Hell if they do not repent, and the LDS church is considered to be a dangerous cult that is leading people into Hell instead of Heaven.

That is about as plain as I can put it.

Lots of religions get bashed here - but yeah, that would be tragic if someone was actually getting paid for that sort of childish behavior.

No, I often find myself in the uncomfortable postion of defending the LDS faith.

They either are miss informed and are replecating what they have heard. Or like to just pick on people.

Either way people like meat bot will have some serious owning up to do.

I do just fine attacking normal Christianity as a whole.

If you'd like me to show specific attacks to LDS, please tell me. Normally, I just blaspheme Jesus, Yahweh, and the Holy spirit. That spreads the love out pretty well.

It is not my job, but it is certainly my duty to point out that the entire theology is nonsense, and could not be believed by anyone with the brains of a gnat. There is not the slightest shred of evidence to support any part of it.
