You know, this question has been beat to death. You'll never here soldiers ask this question. Why? Because most of us have been there. For all the bad things you hear on the news, theres 30 great things that were done. If you haven't been there or are high on the chain to know what is going on there, then you have really no idea except for the fact that people are dying and money is being spent. I've seen the familys that live out there. They are so poor and in desparate need of updating that country to make it a decent place to live. I had to look at the kids on a daily basis, running to us asking for food and water because they don't have it. The clothes they wear, used stuff from america that is usually too small. It's sad that people don't see the good that the military and others have done there to make it a little better. By pulling out now, the insurgence will take over quickly, kill the current government and have another sadaam running that place. Someone who will keep the riches, spit on the poor and most likely team up with some idiot like Osama Bin Laden or the idiot in Iran. Yeah, lets pull out and show us all what a waste of time we spent over there trying to help! Thanks to everyone who supports us and doesn't say "thanks, we support you but our government, or president bush sucks". I'm so sick of hearing it. Just say thanks and move on.

Hon, as long as our men and women who had no choice are out there dying along with the civilians (and by the way, if you want to make a difference, raise awareness on the numbers of civilians who have died - it's more than twice that of our deceased count), they need all the support they can get.

So you are not opposed to the terrorists car bombing markets and schools?

You need to realize that by opposing the war you are saying that you want the terrorists who car bomb mosques and schools to rule Iraq.

Do you care at all about the fate of the Iraqi people?

you disgust me. the people in Iraq have lived under a military dictator who took away every right they had. i think it is just right that we give them the freedoms that you take for granted and if you don't think they deserve the right to control their own lives then maybe you should live under someone like Saddam Husein and know what slavery feels like.

Apparently, someone should have used the money to pay for your education, opposed dear.
Apparently, this question, and the 40 others like it on yahoo answers, are a waste of time, and space.

Is your opposition based upon rational thought or because being anti war is fashionable?

Unless you want American soldiers dying because they lack the funding to equip and maintain themselves in the field, I say no.
