I have painted wood paneling that separates at the seams whenever the weather changes. I'm getting ready to sell my house and the paneling is separated due to the warm weather. What can I do to cover the gaps or fix them so they look better?

the best way is to mesh tape them and skim several coats of mud over them then sanding with 100 grit sandpaper to smooth it flat with the wall. primer these spots before you paint or you will see them through the finish coat. Good luck:)

Obviously the boards are losing moisture everytime it gets warmer and so would expand. You say you have painted them but were they properly primed on both sides? as they need to be sealed. Also I gather they are tounge and grooved if so they should be glued. They shouldn't be able to move if they are glued.

have you tried to find a trim board that would blens well and then paint it to match? if you use a wide enough say 3 inches, it should hide the warping, just caulk down the sides
