when she shows signs of being ready, interest in the potty, starying dry for long periods, and telling you when she pooped or is going to poop, hides to poop.

I started introducing the concept as soon as my kids began to walk. Some experts say not to introduce potty training untill the age of 2 1/2 but you should start earlier just in case the kid is a slow learner. I also started earlier because some preschools won't accept kids that are not potty trained by a certain age.

i started training my dd at age 2, but she did not get it till she was 3 then in like a week was completely trained. however this meant her not wearing any diapers/pullups whatever. im put her in panties for a week straight and she finally got it. she is even night trained (do not put diaper at night buy plastic sheet). but there will be plenty of laundry, carry extra clothes with you and put a plastic bag on the carseat and buy a travel potty seat lid. make it fun by rewarding/praising her when she gets it right, call her a big girl a lot, and make sure she picks out her own panties. My daughter is crazy for her little mermaid panties and tries extra hard to keep the clean!!

Age two, its a hard age because of the terrible two tantrums but its the best time. Try constructive teaching. Go to the dollar store and buy like 10 gifts for a dollar and wrap each one in cheap wrapping paper then every time she goes to the potty successfully Allow her to chose one. I would reserve bigger gifts for when she uses her patience and goes number 2. Worked for me! Good luck!

My daughter was about 2.5 years. The boys were about 3.
We "bribed" them with "potty candy." They got an M&M when they went potty. It helped!

My daughter started when she was between 2 & 2 1/2. My son started when he was 3. For whatever reason, I think girls take to it faster. Don't know why!
