My dog had an allergy problem. He was on a special diet that was formulated for his allergies. The name of the maker of the food is Innovative Veterinary Diets better known in the industry as IVD.

Elmo, my pet Jack Russell Terrier, developed kidney failure. He had to be euthanized within two weeks of the onset of the problem. The only food Elmo was ever fed was IVD.

I find it to be very suspicious that he died from kidney failure just as a massive pet food recall was announced. Prior to the onset of kidney failure, he never had any problems with his kidneys. If any of you followers of Answers has had a pet die from kidney failure while eating IVD, please contact the corporate offices of IVD to let them know.

I wrote to them via email four days ago. They haven't answered my inquiry yet. Please help me to get IVD added to the recall list. I don't want any more pets to die from their negligence. Please help.

Only the foods on the recall list were affected as they were the only ones that got their wheat gluten from the infected supplyer.

If you suspect that there is a kidney problem, go to the vet asap and bring a sample of the food. The vet will test it to see if it was in fact the food.

Kidney Failure can be caused by a number of thigns and it was probably coincidence.

Please do not go around accusing companys before you know for sure.
