i have been an athlete for over 10 years, and have been doing weight lifting for over 6. My muscles show on almost every part of my body, and i only have 2% body fat left to shed, but i do weigh more than i should according to the BMI calculator.
I know i'm muscular, not fat so, if the scale says i weigh too much, is there a way of finding out if i'm really overweight?

The best way is to phone your local university pool and schedule a Hydrodensitometry Weighing. Since you are a athlete, this would be the best way.

Ideally you can ask your doctor, or you can find a doctor that does sports medicine to assess your goal. It seems you already do body fat analysis, thats best too. Lots of athletes are considered overweight on the generic BMI. Also people with larger frames, women with larger breasts, etc. BMI is too generic.

What is your current body fat percentage? If you are an athlete, I'm sure it can't be that high. It doesn't matter what you weight is if your body fat percentage is good.
