A round and a square should be all that more that you need with the ones you have and these additional two you should be able to create just about shaped cake that you would like. There are a few exceptions like the 3 dimensional cakes used mostly for children's birthday parties. There are thousands of different shaped cake pans out there. You can find them in bakery shops, craft stores, wal mart, target. Just about every where that cake products are sold. Unless you are planning on opening a cake business all of them are not necessary. My grandmother and I have been making cakes for years in all different shapes and sizes these 5 shapes plus non stick cupcake pans and mini cup cake pans are all that we have ever used. Examples of what we have made are Firecrackers, butterflies, cars, castles, Christmas trees, plus many more. All you really need is a really sharp knife a good non stick pan in the general shape and an imagination. good luck.

YES - TONS OF SHAPES! There are plenty of different kinds of pans at retail stores, and even more unusual shapes at party supply or craft stores.
But you are not limited to this. You can take a sheet cake and use glassware or jumbo cookie cutters on it after it's baked and cooled to make your own stacked cakes or individual cakes or whatever you want.
You can use two round cake pans (like for a layer cake) and make a bunny for Easter, using one round for the face and cutting sides of the other round for the ears.
You can use this method to create just about any shape you want. You can also use DIFFERENT SIZE pans of the ones you already know and make different shapes, as well. Or make a traditional cake and use cupcakes or muffin molds and make a masterpiece! :)
Have fun!!!
