Should you tell her face to face, write her a letter (not very effective,apparently), or email, sms, etc.?

Depends on what you are doing when you feel it. If you are on the phone then tell her on the phone. If you are face to face then tell her face to face. If you are writing then write her a letter saying that you stopped what you were working on because you were thinking of her. It's all good as long as you mean it. there is no best way.

Dont email, it seems insincere. Face to face works best. My boyfriend sometimes SMS "i love you" when im in the same room as him and i find that adorable. Letters arent very creative. For the first time, pick up on something you two do and work it into that scenario. My man and i used to draw small pictures on each others arm or back when we were watching a movie, so when he told me he loved me he first wrote "i love you" on my tummy then he looked at me and said it. I was in awe. Any way you tell her though im sure she will be happy or at least flattered. Good luck!

Face to face seems to work best. But my husband , while we were dating ( many years ago) used to write me letters, about everything, and sometimes it is easier to say things in a letter than blurt it out in person. But I do remember the time when he told me that he loved me, it was face to face, I will never forget it. It was the most beautiful day, and the look on his face when he said it to me , is the face I still see , everyday.

forget letters, emails and sms, face to face is the most romantic thng a girl can get, make sure no one else is around to hear, theres nothing worse then a load of yours or hers mates in the background going awwwwwww etc take her hands, face her and tell her, hopefully if she loves you too she will say it back. Pfft, if a letter isn't effective then I flippin well wouldn't do it via email or SMS!
Face to face is the best. But you have to KNOW the perfect time to say it, the timing is the most important thing.

Well, if you think she loves you too, or no matter what, face to face is always best. It's more personal than an email, or a letter. And, if you really love her, you should do it SOON!

Well I really don't know what the best way to tell a girl you love her, But I have some creative ideas that might help you out. Once I took a girl out in horse back riding under the stars at night on the beach. As we were walking told her that I love her. That's one way.. So I really don't but they like if its in the moment where something special is going on and your together and she's in your arms and you tell her. Good Luck

If you can tell her face to face, that's the best. If not, then a letter or a card. Not e-mail....it's too impersonal.
Why do you say a letter is not very effective? Face to face is best.

Tell her to her face. Look her in the eyes so she can see that you really being sincere. Hopefully she feels the same way. Good luck man.

Buy her beautiful flowers and at a nice dinner (you cook) tell her face to face with sincerity in your voice and confident
