Yes because of the underlying reason that is bringing on the sexual addiction. As in any addiction, until you feed the addiction there is depression involved. I hope that you can find a reputable Therapist to discuss this problem. If you are trying to refrain from this addiction, the Dr. (Therapist) should be able to help with the depression.

I think any kind of an addiction can cause depression. If you are truly addicted to sex then I'm sure you are not getting it as often as you want, so that can lead to depression, as can the guilt associated with it.

Yes it can because most sex addicts will realize that they are having to lead double lives and betray those who trust and love them the most. not to mention that many of them withdraw from society except for necessary funtions(IE Job, Food) and discover that they are quite lonely. Their best bet is counseling privately! not group thery until later if they need the support. And honesty with the counselor can help them most times discover the root of their addiction and ways to deal with that so that they can move on and heal. Behaviour modification is a good starting point to discuss with a sex therapist. and once you know why you are addicted, you can start to address that and move on. PS some psyc medication might also help you to control the depression.

well if your addicted to something and get cut off from it I would think that you will get depressed. Like cigarettes right?

If you're struggling and feeling anxiety about the addiciton, then yes it can definitely lead to depression.

no it causes problems because if you cant get it from your lady ull go out of your way to get it with prostitutes maybe or become a rapist you should be careful and get treated i don't want to offend you but you know a drug user would do anything to get drugs they will steel, and sometimes kill im not saying thats your sittuation but just becarful.
